Native American Programs Many Nations. One Community.

Jaissa Grunlose

My name is Jaissa Grunlose, I am a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and I am from Yakima, Washington. I am going into my 4th year as a marketing major with an Indigenous studies minor. I chose WSU because I had attended a camp for Native youth before my freshman year of high school and I really enjoyed getting to know the Native Programs and what they have to offer students. On campus, I am a mentor the for Native American Student Center and I am chair for the Native American Women’s Association. Off campus, I love to workout, watch YouTube videos, travel, cook, go to concerts, and play with my dog Ferrari.

Three fun facts about me:

  • I run two different personal Instagram accounts; one for food dedicated to the places I’ve gone to eat, and another for beadwork.
  • I studied abroad in Spain last summer.
  • My favorite movie is Lilo and Stitch.
