Summit Educates Students on College Sports
It takes more than athletic ability to be a college athlete, you’ve also got to have the grades, 6th-12th grade students attending Saturday’s Native Sports Summit were told.

The inaugural gathering of the Inter-institutional MOU American Indian Studies discussion group was hosted by Dr. Jan Johnson, University of Idaho, on December 4 at her home.

Admissions & Financial Aid Deadlines Coming Up
Anyone hoping to attend WSU in the fall should have January 31, 2013 circled in red on their calendar! 


Dec/Jan - Registration Opens for Future Cougars of Color

Future Cougars of Color (FCOC) is a scholarship and visitation program for newly-admitted Cougs.  You must have completed the WSU admission and scholarship applications by Jan 31, and be offered in-state* admission, to qualify for FCOC. All students who attend the March 22-23, 2013 FCOC weekend will receive a renewable scholarship ranging from $1000-$5000 per year! http://admission.wsu.edu/scholarships/fcoc/index.html

*Students who qualify for in-state tuition under the American Indian Residency Bill are eligible to attend.


Jan 31, 2013 - Deadline to apply for College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) provides assistance for eligible students from migrant and/or seasonal farmworker backgrounds by recruiting them into higher education and providing them with academic support services - including workshops, free tutoring, and a stipend - to ensure successful completion of their freshman year in college. http://camp.wsu.edu


Feb 1, 2013 – Deadline to apply for First Scholars Program

Know a high school senior who wil be a first-generation WSU student in the fall? Encourage them to check out the First Scholars Program! First Scholars provides recipients with 4 years of support and programming along with a $20,000.00 scholarship!
