Research Interests
Cary’s research focuses on Indigenous persistence experiences in K-12 and postsecondary. He is currently writing a dissertation on the topic, utilizing members of his own Tribe to describe what persistence means to them. Cary employs Indigenous Research Methodologies and Tribal Critical Race Theory to investigate and mitigate the disparities in graduation rates between Indigenous students and their peers.
