Native American Youth Sports Summit

The Native Youth Sports Summit is an opportunity for aspiring Native athletes to learn the realities of playing sports at a collegiate level on a visit to the WSU Pullman campus. WSU athletes from a variety of sports will share their experiences, discuss how they balance athletics and academics, and share what it takes to succeed in college as a student athlete. Sports Summit participants are given free tickets to attend a WSU game.

AGE: Grades 6-12

WHEN: Sunday, January 28, 2018


  • 11am Campus Tour (optional) – meet @ Bohler Athletic Complex
  • 12pm Lunch (Provided by WSU Native American Programs) @ Bohler Athletic Complex, room 280
  • 12:30-1:30 Panel of Athletes
  • 1:30-2 Levi Horn (Northern Cheyenne), former NFL player
  • 3pm WSU vs. UCLA Women’s Native American Appreciation Day Basketball Game @ Beasley Coliseum

COST: FREE! Includes ticket to the game and lunch
