Native Youth Exploring Higher Education

Motivate l Expose l Connect l Prepare

Native Youth Exploring Higher Education (NY’EHE) is a summer camp for Native American high school students interested in exploring opportunities a college education offers. This year we are bringing NY’EHE back to campus.

The camp will consist of exposing students a variety of career fields, promote health and wellness, and provide college preparation. Activities will include:

  • Tribal Nation Building Activities
  • Exposure to STEAM related fields
  • Tribal Careers
  • Higher Education Preparation

The goals of NY’EHE are to: Motivate Native students towards wellbeing, positive identity, career aspirations, and pursuing their education. Expose Native students to Native role models, learning activities, and what is possible for their future college/career. Connect Native students to their culture, positive relationships, and how their pursuit of college/career can build up their tribe. And Prepare Native students for the skills, experiences and plans they need to attain their college/career aspirations.
